A table caught mid-gathering — wine poured, olives out, the classic Italian spread laid across a checkered cloth. Aperitivo is less a still life than a pause: The ritual of sitting down before dinner properly begins, painted in the loose, textured strokes that let the meal feel unfinished, alive, still in motion.
